POKEBOT FEATURE ADDENDUM AND PRIVACY NOTICE — VERSION 4 — EFFECTIVE FROM THE PUBLICATION DATE SHOWN ABOVE
PokeBot is an optional PokeCardr Master feature. This notice supplements the current PokeCardr Terms and Privacy Policy. Acknowledging it enables the conversational processing, public artwork inspection and current research described below when available for your account. Declining leaves previously acknowledged PokeBot capabilities available.
Conversation, artwork and current research
PokeBot can discuss Pokémon cards, sets, artwork, collecting, games, anime and lore, including subjects beyond PokeCardr's own records. It uses general model knowledge, public catalogue evidence and, when relevant, a bounded search of selected public websites. Current research includes links and the date checked. General knowledge and model summaries can be incomplete or wrong; a citation does not guarantee that an interpretation is correct or a market ranking is comprehensive.
For artwork questions, PokeCardr may send up to three matching public catalogue images to OpenAI for visual inspection. These are catalogue artworks, not photographs of your physical cards. PokeBot must not infer your card's condition, authenticity or grade from them. Small details may be unclear at the inspection resolution.
Quoted market figures still come from dated card evidence. Research summaries and generated explanations are stored separately from verified market observations and do not become price history, sale evidence or valuations. PokeBot does not provide professional appraisals, authenticate or grade cards, promise sale prices or returns, or give investment instructions. Check the exact printing, finish, language, condition, source and date before relying on a reference.
What is sent to providers
PokeCardr sends OpenAI your current question, up to six recent non-Vault session questions, bounded summaries of those replies, and the public card descriptions and evidence needed to answer. A planning step can receive catalogue identifiers to resolve follow-ups. Prior assistant replies are conversation context, not verified facts.
For current research, a separate OpenAI request receives a bounded public Pokémon topic and relevant catalogue names or printed card numbers. OpenAI's web-search capability retrieves public sources. PokeCardr does not send the transcript, account identity or Vault holdings in the search request. The search topic may reflect what you asked about.
PokeCardr does not add account identifiers, email addresses, private Vault holdings, notes, storage locations, customer photographs, audio or credentials to conversational or research requests. Public catalogue image URLs are the only images sent for this capability. Private Vault summaries remain within PokeCardr and are excluded from subsequent model context. Avoid typing personal or confidential information into questions, because text you enter is necessarily processed.
Evidence, retention and controls
Questions and replies remain in the current client session. Starting a new conversation clears that context. Operational usage receipts contain service outcomes, timing, model identity, token use and cost information, not the wording of your conversation.
PokeCardr retains a short public research summary with source links, retrieval time and a hashed lookup key in a shared research cache. Successful research is reused for up to two hours, then requires refresh before being presented as current. Cached research records are retained for up to 30 days and are removed on subsequent research activity. Failed lookups have a short cooldown to avoid repeated charges. Public card observations continue to follow the existing evidence retention policy. Neither model prose nor private conversation is promoted into verified card or market evidence.
Requests use OpenAI's non-persistent response setting. This is not a promise of zero provider retention: processing, abuse monitoring and international processing remain subject to the current Privacy Policy and applicable provider terms.
Account access, usage limits and spend controls apply across planning, research and authoring. PokeCardr may temporarily pause a capability or return a supported evidence answer when a service is unavailable. This notice does not enable private-image inspection, new paid market suppliers or bulk news ingestion.
Acknowledgement is optional and starts unticked. Versions 1, 2 and 3 do not authorise the new artwork or web-search processing. Read the current Privacy Policy for rights, account export and deletion. Contact privacy@pokecardr.com for privacy questions or support@pokecardr.com for product help. A material processing change requires another versioned notice and acknowledgement.
